I've owned 5 Bookshelf speakers in the past ranging from 50-300 and haven't been really impressed with quality till I bought this stand. Honestly I don't think there is any speaker stand that's better under $250.
Quality is solid and heavy and as other reviewers mentioned..it looks really good.

These speaker stands are easy to put together and look attractive. I was most drawn to them because they are adjustable height. I did not want to screw into my Klipsch speakers and found that they sit soundly atop. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase these again when needed.

These are nice and sturdy stands. Not as robust as the Sanus Steel Foundations, but these are adjustable. That means if something changes, your stands don't have to. Right now I'm using these at 28 inches. That's 2 inches higher than I thought I would have to by calculation so these really paid off. You can call these fool proof. I filled them with buck shot and now they are stable as they need to be. The 4 start rating is b/c I wish the base was a bit bigger as well as the speaker platform. The speaker platform is also plastic and feels cheap next to the rest of the stand.
