I have owned this set for 6 years. It has been a workhorse. It can easily be dressed up or down. We have had just a few pieces break so I was looking for replacements. Since the Mikasa outlet near me has closed, I checked here. I decided to purchase the 8 piece set because this is a phenomenal price.

I love this dinnerware set. Being white it does not conflict with the color of the food yet the pattern adds interest and beauty. I also love the fact it does not get hot in the microwave like my Pfaltzgraff set did. It arrived quickly, was packaged very well and nothing was broken in shipping. The only drawback is the salad plates are too big for the top shelf of my dishwasher.

I was looking for a set of dishes that I could use everyday but would also look good enough for company. That is what I found in these English Countryside Dishes from Mikasa. They are light in weight - like fine china, but sturdy enough for everyday use. The white on white pattern is very classic. The service through Amazon was wonderful and my dishes arrived promptly without any damage. I am very satisfied with these dishes and would recommend them to anyone wanting something a little dresser than the "heavy" stoneware dishes that are so predominate.
