I just received the 2 pc. home office writing desk and side chair and I am very happy with it. It was very easy to assemble, except for one of the legs on the desk took a little more time. When I got it all together and put it in the room, it looks awesome. The detail on the desk legs is great. It makes it look antique, which is what I wanted. I would definitely recommend this desk and
chair. PS. the chair is comfortable too.

Have been looking for a "lady's desk" and this is a perfect elegant desk. I was able to put it together by myself in 10 mins. It is beautiful and feminine and now one of my happiest places to spend alone time. Large enough to hold everything I need and gorgeous craftmenship.

I was shopping for a good looking but not too expensive desk in the furniture stores. After pricing desks and then chairs to go with the desk I found the total price to be more than what I wanted to pay. Then I saw this desk set online at Amazon.com and decided to give it a try since it included the matching chair. AM I EVER PLEASED! Both the desk and chair look like something you would buy at a high end furniture store . . . very good quality. I paid $281 plus a $51 shipping fee for these items and now two weeks later see the set on sale for $218. If I had room in my home I'd buy another one. The only assembly involved are the legs.
