This machine is very high quality. It juices vegetables and fruit with no problems whatsoever. Works great and is very easy to clean. We like much, much better than out old juicer. You actually get all of the fruits/vegetables as opposed to the juicer spitting out 90% of them.

Let me start off by saying that this machine is fantastic. I use it every morning to mix up a fruit and vegetable smoothie, and I've never felt better. I love that I still get all the fiber from everything, unlike with juicing. I also use it quite often as a basic food processor, and it does heat up soup quite nicely :)

The only thing is, as good as it works, I don't feel it worked as magically as it was supposed to. I still don't feel too good about spending five hundred dollars on it. Occasionally it doesn't mix things quite right, or it will make horrible loud noises when the contents solidify.

All in all, I can still highly recommend it - nutritionally it helps a lot! Just, try to find a good deal on one ;)

A mixer/blender like no other, both in power and (relative) quietness. Love the clear, polycarbonate material, effective ram-rod plunger, heavy duty handle and lid construction.
The variable speed settings are excellent.

I've had other blenders before, but none have done as good a job as the Vitamix at keeping the noise level down to a tolerable level. No annoying high-pitch whine of other blenders.
