Very large but I sank right to the bottom. Felt lumpy and insufficient - no support at all. Heavy and very smelly. Returned, even though i could not get it back into the box. Just compressed ad much as i could and taped the bag. UPS accepted the return no problem.

I have had this "chair" for a few weeks now. I bought it for my office where I do a fair bit of reading for class, so I have spent many hours in it by now.

I read many of the reviews here before I ventured into the purchase - they are surprisingly split. I all, however, I have been very happy with the purchase. It's a great product. It is comfortable, HUGE (I'm 6 foot 4 and I fit just fine) and light. Beware: this chair has a way of making you fall asleep when you should be working.

The reason why it cannot score full points is two-fold: first, although it is comfortable, it is not quite the same feeling as a bean bag chair (which might not be a bad thing for everyone, but they probably should name it differently) and second, it smells pretty bad for the first little while. The smell isn't horrible, but it is intense for a while. Especially if you plan to use it in a small, mostly closed off space, you'll do better to find another product (or acquire a couple of Febreze fabric fresheners). None of these things are enough to dislike my purchase with which I am happy.

Last, I'd like to address the criticisms in some of the other reviews. One reviewer refers to the chair as cheap and ill-conceived. Enigmatic of the review is the frustration is that there isn't a zipper tab to operate the zipper - but that's not lack of quality! You remember the old bean chairs that had those tabs? If you sit on them wrong, those tabs will bruise you. On this product the tab has quite cleverly been left off for your comfort. Also, with regards to the materials inside: yes, they are probably recycled materials. How is that bad? What you don't have are a bunch of primary-produced plastic balls which are oil and material intensive in production. Have you ever opened a foam pillow from the retail store? That's just how it's done. Personally I feel much better buying this product knowing it didn't waste nearly as many resources as would a bean bag chair filled with plastic beans.
